Single skein of cream merino wool resting on a sunlit windowsill with soft morning light casting long shadows
01The Beginning

One skein on a windowsill.

It started with a single skein of undyed merino I bought at a farmers' market in Portland. I had no idea what I was making. I just knew the light in my apartment that morning was doing something extraordinary to the wool — turning it amber, then ivory, then almost translucent. I photographed it before I cast on. That photograph got 10,000 saves.

I wasn't trying to build a following. I was trying to remember the light.

02The Shift

When craft became editorial.

I started shooting every project the way a fashion editor would treat a new collection — with intention, with restraint, with the understanding that negative space is not empty. I borrowed a linen backdrop from a friend who shoots for magazines. I moved my tripod to the window. I stopped photographing what I made and started photographing how it felt.

A hand-knit cardigan deserves the same reverence as a Margiela piece.

03The Feed

A magazine for makers.

This account is for the woman who knits on the train and crochet during conference calls. Who scrolls for pattern inspiration at midnight and wants something that doesn't look like it was photographed on a grandmother's kitchen table. Stitch is for you — your hands, your hours, your craft, treated like the art it is.

Your craft is not a hobby. It is a practice. It deserves a beautiful feed.

Now you know where it began.
